Terms of Service

1. The service and this agreement

These Terms are between you and the legal operator of SpriteReady trading as SpriteReady. “You” includes an organisation if you are authorised to act for it. An account or purchase acceptance screen must give you an opportunity to review and accept the applicable version. Merely reading this pre-launch draft does not activate a subscription or authorise a charge.

If a mandatory consumer law gives you rights that differ from these Terms, that law takes priority. The Privacy Policy explains information handling; agreement to these Terms is not blanket consent to unrelated data uses.

2. Eligibility and account security

You must have legal capacity to enter this agreement and, when acting for an organisation, authority to bind it. Do not create an account if you cannot lawfully enter the agreement or provide the consent required for the handling of your information. The service is not directed at young children.

Provide accurate account information, verify your email where required, and protect your sign-in credentials. Do not share or sell access or impersonate another person. Let us know about suspected unauthorised use. You are responsible for uses you authorise; these Terms do not automatically make you liable for every unauthorised use.

3. What the tools do

SpriteReady resizes static images, repairs pixel grids, simplifies colours and exports PNG files. Processing happens in your browser, while account and subscription authorisation use online services. Supported input formats and file, dimension and compute limits are shown in the product.

SpriteReady is not a generative redrawing service. Results depend on the source and settings. Small features can change or disappear, automated suggestions can be wrong, and transparent-background cleanup does not work equally well on every image. Review the examples and your output before relying on it.

Keep your own copies of source artwork and downloaded results. The current workspace is held in the open browser session and is not a backup service. A closed tab, refresh, storage restriction or device failure may lose unfinished work.

4. Artwork, outputs and intellectual property

You retain whatever rights you hold in your source artwork. As between you and SpriteReady, we do not claim ownership of your artwork or exported images. We do not require a licence to publish, sell or train models on artwork processed locally. Normal processing does not send that artwork to us.

You are responsible for having permission to use the source and for complying with the terms of any AI generator, asset provider or other rights holder. Processing an image does not clear copyright, trademark, publicity, privacy or other third-party rights, and does not guarantee that an AI-generated image qualifies for copyright protection.

You may use exported files, including commercially, to the extent the source and your other applicable licences permit. Cancelling a subscription does not revoke your ability to use files already exported. If you send material to support, you grant only the permission reasonably needed to investigate and answer that request.

SpriteReady's branding, website and software remain subject to their owners' rights. Third-party open-source components are governed by their own licences, which control over any inconsistent restriction here. The Licenses page identifies relevant notices.

5. Five free fixes

The free allowance is five lifetime fixes per eligible account. A fix covers one source image in one workspace. Combining tools and adjusting settings within that workspace do not each spend another fix. The first valid, nonempty result spends the fix, and a free workspace can be refined for 24 hours from that first successful result.

A cancelled, failed, timed-out or empty run should not spend a fix. Disliking an otherwise valid result does not automatically restore a fix. If an apparent technical or accounting error uses a fix incorrectly, contact support so it can be investigated and corrected.

A new source image or a new workspace outside the refinement period requires a new available fix or paid access. Signing out, clearing browser data, linking a sign-in provider or cancelling a subscription does not reset the allowance. Do not create accounts or falsify requests to evade limits.

6. Paid access, prices and renewal

Where offered, a monthly subscription provides ordinary local processing while your paid access is active, subject to the displayed file and compute limits and these Terms. “Unlimited” does not mean unlimited file sizes, automation, redistribution of service access or a guaranteed level of performance.

Before you buy, checkout must show the amount, currency, applicable taxes, billing frequency and recurring nature of the subscription. No charge is authorised by visiting a page or trying a free example. By completing a clearly disclosed subscription purchase, you authorise recurring charges at the agreed interval until cancellation takes effect.

Stripe handles hosted checkout and billing management. An online access check is required for new paid processing. A failed or overdue payment may interrupt new processing when the paid period expires; it does not delete PNGs already downloaded.

A price change will be disclosed in advance and apply only to a future billing period, with any notice or consent required by law. You can cancel before it takes effect. We will not treat a new price written into these Terms as permission for an undisclosed charge.

7. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel renewal through the account billing controls and hosted billing portal when subscriptions are enabled. Ordinary cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, so access continues until the displayed end date. Save the confirmation. If a technical problem prevents cancellation, contact support promptly using the contact details above.

Stopping use, closing a browser tab or uninstalling a browser does not cancel a subscription. Account deletion is a separate request and may end access sooner. A charge made after an effective cancellation or in error should be reported for investigation and correction.

Ordinary cancellation does not automatically create a prorated refund for an unused part of a paid period. This does not exclude a refund, withdrawal right, cancellation right or remedy required by law, or a refund expressly offered by us. See Cancellation & Refunds for the request process. Do not send full card details or passwords in a request.

8. Acceptable use

Use the service lawfully and respect the rights of other people.

• Do not process or submit content you have no right to use, or use the service to violate privacy, intellectual-property or other legal rights.
• Do not interfere with the service, introduce malicious code, access another person's account, exploit security weaknesses, or bypass access and free-fix controls.
• Do not use automated accounts or requests to defeat ordinary-use limits, overload the service, or resell access without permission.
• Do not misrepresent your identity, transactions or authority. Restrictions on the application do not override permissions you independently have under applicable law or open-source licences.

9. Availability and changes to the service

We aim to provide the described functionality but cannot promise uninterrupted access, compatibility with every device or browser, or a particular artistic outcome. Updates, maintenance, network problems and provider outages can affect the service.

We may make reasonable changes to features or safety limits. If a material change substantially reduces a paid service during a period already purchased, we will provide notice and an appropriate remedy where required by law or our purchase commitments. We will not remove statutory remedies by calling a paid feature a beta or experimental feature.

10. Suspension and account closure

We may restrict an account where reasonably necessary to address nonpayment, misuse, a security risk or a legal obligation. Where appropriate and lawful, we will explain the reason and provide a way to contact us. Urgent protective action may happen before notice.

You may request account closure through the published support contact. Closure must address any active subscription as well as account data. Information handling and justified retention are described in the Privacy Policy. Email support to request closure if a self-service option is unavailable.

If we discontinue a paid service rather than provide the purchased period, applicable refunds and other mandatory remedies remain available. Account closure does not take away rights in files already downloaded or resolve amounts legitimately due before closure.

11. Responsibility and limits

Use reasonable care when choosing settings and checking results, especially before replacing a source file, delivering work to a client or publishing an asset. We do not warrant that an output is free of third-party rights or appropriate for every commercial purpose.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we exclude implied warranties beyond those that cannot lawfully be excluded, and liability for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits or business opportunities. This exclusion applies only where lawful and does not override a specific promise made at purchase.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or any liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude or limit. Nothing removes mandatory consumer guarantees, remedies or other non-waivable rights. No blanket indemnity, mandatory arbitration requirement or class-action waiver is imposed by these Terms.

12. Questions and disputes

Contact support with a description of the problem and any relevant account or transaction reference. We will try to resolve it fairly. You do not have to complete an informal process before using a legal right that does not allow that condition.

These Terms do not choose an exclusive court or require you to give up protections available under the mandatory laws of your place of residence. It does not limit your ability to contact a regulator or use a court or other process that applicable law makes available.

13. Updates and interpretation

Published Terms will carry an effective date and version. We will give appropriate notice of material changes and seek renewed acceptance where required. Changes will not retroactively authorise charges or remove rights that have already arisen.

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue only to the extent permitted by law. A failure to enforce a provision on one occasion is not a permanent waiver. These Terms, the accepted checkout disclosures and any expressly agreed written terms describe the agreement; mandatory law takes priority over any conflict.
